E3: Snadi

Tiina and Petri have built a large detached house for their family of three, but over the years their thoughts changed - would everyday life be smoother in a smaller house? The steep hill chosen as the construction site for "Snad" and the heavy snow winter challenged the builders before Tiina, skilled in carpentry, was finally able to install the furniture she had made herself. Can a small house be big enough if it is well designed?

Aurinkotervehdys is the stylish seaside villa of Marjut and Ilka's dreams, a short distance from the busy everyday life of Helsinki. The house is designed for a relaxed stay with family and friends, but it also serves as an inspiring place for business meetings. Skilled architects and builders are behind the wonderful complex, but how do you build in the middle of nature so that the house blends in with nature?

E5: One Brick at a Time

Sini and Tuomas are building their dream brick house for their growing family on a rented plot in Jyväskylä. For Sin and Tuomak, who grew up in brick houses, brick is a homely choice, but they look for an unusual personality in the exterior of the house from the architecture of different eras and the color and vivid surface of the brick. The help of family and friends is invaluable when rising costs and more expensive material choices than planned tighten the budget.
