On November 2, 2023, Cheng Yi won the Outstanding Young Actor Award for his work on "Mysterious Lotus Casebook" (莲花楼) at the prestigious 19th Annual Chinese-American Film & TV Festival, one of the only two of these awards given that night. Cheng Yi made his solo music debut in 2017 with the single “Goodbye to the Past."
