BA in Fine Arts at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University of South Africa. CEO, director and writer at Almost Red Studio Chengdu (China). Xu Xiaoxi is a Chinese filmmaker born in Chengdu (China) with an international background. He obtains his BA in Fine Arts from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa, specializing in the field of Video Art. He moves to Los Angeles in 2008 to study a MFA in Filmmaking at the NYFA, Universal Studios in Hollywood, where he graduates in 2009 with the feature film "Desire Street", co-directed with his collaborator Roberto F. Canuto. He receives a Special Mention for Best Feature Film in its premier at Mix Mexico Film Festival in 2011. His short film "Mei Mei" was presented in various film festivals and his latest fiction film, "Ni Jing: Thou Shalt Not Steal”, receives a Best Film award in USA and Best actress and runner up best film in Spain, in Asturian Film Festival 2014. Xu Xiaoxi is the co-founder and CEO at Almost Red Productions Chengdu (China), where he directs fiction and commercial films since 2010.
