Jerell Rosales is an Asian/Filipino-American and LGBTQ+ writer/director. His feature-length directorial debut, High School Lover, stars Paulina Singer, Lana Condor and François Arnaud released by Lionsgate Home Video. He's a Humanitas Prize award-winning screenwriter and a directing fellow in Film Independent's Project Involve and the Blackmagic Breakthrough Initiative. He's passionate about telling stories with diverse characters navigating the world by fighting their way through it. Jerell grew up a military brat living in bases from Japan to Ohio, but proudly calls the Southern California's Inland Empire home. He's a graduate of UCLA's MFA Directing program and is based in Salt Lake City serving as the Assistant Professor in Cinematic Directing at Utah Valley University.
