Suzann McLean is the winner of the African Film Awards for Best Actress 2011. She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2023 King's BIrthday Honours List for her services to the Arts and to Marginalized Young People in London. She is the Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director of the Theatre Peckham in London, England.
